Tuesday

antigua via instagram.

last weekend my cousin finally decided to tie the knot.
he made a good choice - not only in his choice of a wife...
but also the location for the nuptials.
hello Antigua

my family loves a beach.
i always tell people that i never went anywhere cultural or educational growing up -
because when it was time to get away and spend money on vacation - my family was headed towards a beach and hoping to use our brains as little as possible.

and to this day ... that's the way i view a real getaway.
this was one of the best i've had in a long time.

i needed out of this busy city.
i needed to have zero cell phone service.
i needed time with the people i love most.
it was beautiful in every way.

 { my cousin and very best friend }

 { my mom - she's cute. and she's single.
and she will hate me for typing that. }

{ antigua sunset. heaven. }

Congrats Rodney & Lyndy!
I will be posting more pics once i upload & edit them. maybe.

Monday

the past...

being grateful for it was the second."

calypso st. barth arm heaven.

arm decor craziness makes me squeal
like a kid who's eaten too many jelly beans.

i love these bracelets (and photos) from

i may or may not have purchased a multitude today.
i like to call it "having plenty of options".

Tuesday

coachella dreaming.

i've been torturing myself for the past 2 weeks
browsing Coachella photos.

why was i not there?

i love these shots via Refinery29 of a few of the
from the 2 weekends of wonderfulness.

i will go next year.
even if i have to sell all of my possessions...

love life.

{instagram} a few things i love.

just collaging away with my Instagram and Pinterest photos -
the little display above is a few of my favorite things
( yes, jack is one of my favorite things
and jane eyre is mega blurry)

below is my new city - and the look that is constantly glued to my face here.

{diy} nail it.

i've only recently started painting my nails.
i still don't own my own nail file.
this is something i get "a talking to" every single time
i go home to Arkansas and see my grandmother.

since moving to nyc -
i kind of have zero excuse to not keep my nails pretty.
bc manicures are the only cheap thing available in this city.

sooo... it's obvious that i have NOT mastered
painting my own nails -
much less attempted these cool tricked out DIY looks.

but i wish i could.

thebeautydepartment.com gives tutorials on stuff like this ...like how to use scotch tape to get the first nail look shown (i repeat...scotch tape)
and the last photo i posted looks amazing...but there's
no way in hell i'd do the 9 million steps
just to stain my nails the perfect "ombre".

i really love these looks.

maybe i'll try my first DIY project - and then i'll let one of my roommates write a "follow-up" blog post about how i somehow got stuck in all that scotch tape and ombre'd myself up to my elbows.
