{tech} : vine video-ing #1

so i learned today that the latest social networking craze
is called : VINE ...
i was always a late bloomer on this stuff  -
until i started working in digital media.
now ... i think it's fun (and my job)

so - this VINE is sort of like Instagram
BUT with movement and sound...

I tried to upload my first video - but of course I can't -
so i took a snapshot of my video pics &
you can find me on the app/site @texturedstyle

over & out.

{life} via instagram : january

life lately via instagram

yeah...this captures it nicely -
but i'll break it down:

{ left to right }
#1. it's freezing in NYC -
i'm not used to this weather. all i want to do is hibernate.

#2. i'm approaching the nice little age of 30 in march -
trying to be mature and make to-do lists to make myself feel more "accomplished". we'll see if it works.

#3. i swore i'd never post "nail art" - but i did.

#4. i just like this quote and typography.

{accessories} : outfits for iphone.

HOLD.the.PHONE...
i got my first savvy iphone case over the holidays.
it's cute. {above}

i guess because i'm possibly the worst iphone owner on the planet
and/or drop/lose mine like its my job -
i've just always opted for those humongous cases that look like army artillery.

but -  i started to notice that the whole cool phone case phenomenon also seemed to double as an outfit accessory -
so i took the plunge.

i got mine online at Society6 - they have so many cute options.

I also like these:

{style} : structured winter hats.

i love hats.
i always have.

in my opinion - they are an ultimate accessory
that can change the entire look of an outfit.
this season - i have had a winter love affair
with THIS hat -
it's wool, cream colored & structured {dreamy}.

what's your favorite warm AND stylish accessory?

{product} : bb cream.

bb cream = beauty balm.

i am a marketer's dream.
a complete sucker.
so, i obviously gave into the latest craze in beauty products
& purchased this little L'Oreal Youth Code BB cream one night while i was aimlessly wandering around duane reade.

i will be exiting my 20's in a few months -
which means i have been lathering myself in any
& every anti-aging skincare product out there.

as i approach 30 - i am constantly fighting that nagging feeling of fearing getting older {and looking it}. i swear i've had wrinkles since i was 9 - so i guess 29 is a good age to start boycotting them.

i want to age elegantly like my grandmother
(she's the cutie in my pic above).
she turned 83 yesterday.
she acts & looks like she's maybe 45.

returning from my tangent
so, bb creams are supposed to be the whole "next generation"
when it comes to face products - bc they are filled with antioxidants, skin brighteners, botanical actives
& anti-agers - along with providing sunscreen, foundation-like coverage, & moisture.

i am not going to say i'm a full-fledged convert quite yet -
but after using the product for a little over a month -
i have come to love the lightweight coverage & smooth texture.
i've replaced my foundation with this stuff.

i still have crows feet - but maybe somebody will just buy me botox for my birthday & nip that one in the bud.

{no this was not a sponsored post - just random thoughts}

cheers.
